Tyler McPeak is an emerging Nashville based artist known for his large-scale contemporary compositions and his layered use of color. As an action painter, his process begins with the emotional state he is in when he approaches the canvas. Tyler is a self-taught artist who finds influence in the artists of the past century; particularly the abstract expressionists and contemporary artists for their attitudes, depth of emotion, techniques, and use of color. His pieces are an amalgamation of this influence and the inspiration he discovers in daily life and his past experiences. Tyler leads with ambition; creating from a place of instinct and feeling while consistently seeking new ways to explore and express himself and his mind through his art.

Throughout his seventeen years in the fitness industry, Tyler’s career ranged from modeling in New York City to running a successful personal training business. He viewed sculpting his physique as his art form; obsessed with trying to create what he had envisioned at the age of eighteen. When Tyler rediscovered his love of painting, he realized the one-dimensionality of his life and gained new perspectives on what it means to find fulfillment. Today, Tyler can most often be found in front of a large-scale canvas in his home studio.
